With such high customizability, no two Papertile projects are the same. We provide design guidance to create original works for spaces of any scale. Design is collaborative and carried out in phases, resulting in a map for both production and installation.
Other than the nuances that can only come from the handmade touch, Papertile mosaics come out just like the digital design.
We designed this project for Éco Enterprises Québec, who represent the Quebec recycling industry. Their intent was for the composition to embody their company’s ethos and branding through the custom colours and patterns.
Over a few iterations, we worked together to make the Papertile murals of their office become the distilled symbols of their company.
Dear Human originated from partners Jasna Sokolovic and Noel O’Connell’s mutual desire to create joy through unexpected moments in everyday environments. Though it began as an urban intervention practice, this desire has carried through as we’ve continued to explore new materials and forms, drifting from fine art into design concepts and back again.
The result is a collection that resides somewhere between the two disciplines.
Since our beginning, we have been dedicated to thoughtful material use, and projects often begin with playful experimentation with industrial castoffs and scrap materials to see where they can go. Our works are designed and made by us in our Montreal studio, and occasionally by other local makers. We enjoy collaborating with architects, artists, interior designers, and industrial designers to realize our projects.
